Revelation 19:10b says that "the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy". What does this mean? One of the primary purposes of prophecy is to bring reconciliation and restoration just as Jesus did. Many times we've seen words ministered that build up, encourage and bring peace to the hearer. What's actually taking place is that the Lord is reaffirming, "Hey! It's okay! I know your in a tough situation, I know it isn't easy for you, but I'm here with you in the midst of it. You aren't battling this in your strength, I'm giving you mine".
The result is our fears and insecurities are being laid to rest by being reminded that He is there with us in the midst of what we're facing and we aren't battling alone, and so we enter into a place of restoration of His presence and reconciliation just knowing we aren't alone in the midst of the battle.
